Nothing catches a writer's attention faster than other writers talking about what else? Good writing.

Besieged by sloppy writing samples, we wonder if the world of emails and text messaging will kill fine writing skills. Bill Sledzik at Kent State University puts those worries into words.

And here is a treat for those who appreciate this craft, as well as the conversation: "How to Write Good" by the late and very great Michael O'Donoghue.

Al Now that we're past blinking lights in Boston, tune in for Ad Club of West Michigan's Guerrilla Marketing in 30 Days, courtesy of Al Lautenslager, principal of Market for Profits, a Chicago-based marketing consulting firm as well as president and owner of The Ink Well, a commercial printing and mailing company.
