Since Indiana is out of the NCAA tournament, March Madness means the brain needs a rest -- off to The Grapefruit League for some leisure-time learning and development. And sometimes that wonderful hot sun disappears, and you just get drenched. Right after inning 1, it poured so hard in Lakeland that we ran for the exits -- and out came the Tigers rain ponchos, umbrellas and other waterproof gear (like the game program). People at the ballpark are prepared for anything -- from occasional showers to frequent foul balls. Finally, in the PR world, you can't totally separate yourself from your work. The TV sports gurus doing their pre-show analysis is just another part of the entertainment, as the grounds crew preps Mets' Tradition Field for a night game. |
